I definitely hear you about staying motivated. I'd love to have fan art, but most of my readers, although the book is YA, are adults. I'm in a period where one book is out (7 mo ago), and another is coming, so I find it difficult to focus on writing a new project. I'll have to read about your Inspiration Box post.
We were talking about this in my writers group yesterday; I think everyone has a hard time finding motivation... That in-between time you're talking about is especially hard. Exciting that there's a new book coming though :-)

I bought it off Zulily when it was still in business, but I think you can probably get it on Amazon or Groupon... Well worth it this winter :-)
