Love your newsletter, Fleur. I raised orphan kittens a few times. One came to us old enough to lap his fluids and soft food, but he still needed to suck. Thus, his bedding developed little nipple shaped sucking spots. I felt sorry for the little guy but bottle feeding felt like a step back. When he kept the habit through adulthood, I wondered if I should have used a doll bottle 🍼 anyway. Have you had experience with the sucking behavior yet? I admire your foster care for these little ones. Very much needed ❣️
He does the same thing, and my daughter's cat does it too. I think it's just a comfort thing (but a little gross if they do it to a good blanket :-) ). And the fostering is easy, to be honest, when they're this cute...
I'm here to congratulate you on being a finalist in the CAL Awards short story category!!
“The Purgatory of Emily Gray” I am sure you're having some well-deserved cake!
Thank you, Laura! Yes, that was some surprising good news--cake is on for sure :-)
"What is the BEST thing that could happen?" I just love it. It is now pleasantly planted in my brain.
Glad to help :-)
“Every book is one (a dream), and it takes an optimist who loves a project to write one.”
