Join me for a Get in the Write Habit Challenge
Where Fleur is going to write every day, and you can join her...
I know, it’s not Sunday—so why am I here…? I’m about to start my Get in the Write Habit (I should probably TM this or something) Summer Challenge. It’s like National Novel Writing Month, but we make our own rules. From a young age I was stubborn and I always did exactly what I wanted to do. Ask my mother.
Anyway, here’s the plan:
Write every day.
That’s it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a novel, a Haiku, a short story, or if I’m revising something. The point is to get in the habit of writing daily with the hopes that it sticks.
A (very) quick Google search told me that it takes 66 days to build a habit. I’m going to give it a go in the month of June and maybe into July, but there’s no minimum daily word count. Although I do hope that with this habit, I’ll have a couple of short stories in the can and maybe another novel draft.
We’ll see…
If you want to join me, let’s go!
Let’s make this writing thing a good habit, like eating an orange every day. It’s how books are written, you know.
I'm ready to join you writing a little each day. Thanks for the gentle push that gets me writing after a very dry spell.
Thank you for this challenge!! Just the kick in the pants I need to stop sabotaging myself. I have so many stories in me and just as many excuses as to why other life things should come first. I AM WITH YOU!!
